American Home Shield Names Three Top Leaders

American Home Shield, the nation’s leading provider of home protection plans, announces the addition of three individuals to its senior leadership team. These leaders will provide strategic direction as the company focuses on providing even more value to consumers and living its mission of helping simplify and improve homeowners’ lives.


  • As previously announced, Mark Barry joined American Home Shield last month as president, succeeding David Crawford who will retire from the company after more than 25 years. Barry most recently served as president of United Technologies’ Automation and Controls Solutions, a $3.2 billion Hartford, Conn.-based unit of UTC’s Climate, Controls and Security business. The unit has a global portfolio of 50 companies that design, manufacture and sell security, fire, HVAC and building automation products.

    Barry previously served as president of GE Security-Americas before it was acquired by UTC in 2010. Prior to joining GE, he spent seven years at Tyco International, including five as president of Tyco’s Fire and Security Services Asia division, based in Singapore. While at Tyco, Barry led a multinational team of 11,000 employees in 12 countries, growing the division to $1 billion in annual sales of its electronic security systems; fire protection, detection and suppression systems; and related services.


  • Frank Erbiti has been named vice president of sales. Erbiti brings strong leadership skills in sales, management and customer experience and will complement and challenge the organization in new ways. His career includes more than 25 years with AT&T, primarily in senior-level business-to-business sales and management roles. Erbiti will be responsible for delivering customer and revenue growth in the real estate, third party and telesales channels, leading strategic sales expansion efforts, developing new partnerships, and creating new sales opportunities.



  • Marty Wick has been promoted to vice president of operations, with responsibility for all aspects of customer service, contractor management, and call center operations. Before joining American Home Shield to lead the company’s technology transformation, he held leadership positions in ServiceMaster and worked in the telecommunications and retail industries.
